9x + 2 + 7x + 3 = (9x + 2) + (7x + 3) shows associative property of addition

Solution:

Given expression is:

9x + 2 + 7x + 3 = (9x + 2) + (7x + 3)

The above expression is of associative property of addition

The associative property states that you can add or multiply regardless of how the numbers are grouped

In other words, if you are adding or multiplying it does not matter where you put the parenthesis. Add some parenthesis any where you like

Therefore, in the given expression,

9x + 2 + 7x + 3 = (9x + 2) + (7x + 3)

16x + 5 = 9x + 2 + 7x + 3

16x + 5 = 16x + 5

Thus it does not matter where we put the parenthesis in addition of numbers, the result is same in both the case

Thus the given expression shows associative property of addition
