Answer:

The number of days for which the cost would be same is 3 days .

Explanation:

Given as :

For company A

The rate of charge = $40 per day

For company B

The rate of charge = $20 per day

The fixed charge = $60

Let The number of days for which the cost would be same = n days

Now, According to question

For cost to be same for both companies

The charge of company A = The charge of company B

So, charge per day × number of days = charge per day × number of days + fixed

Or, $40 × n = $20 × n + $60

Or, $40 × n - $20 × n = $60

Or, ($40 - $20) × n = $60

Or, $20 × n = $60

∴ n =
(60)/(20)

i.e n = 3

So, The number of days for which the cost would be same = n = 3 days

Hence,The number of days for which the cost would be same is 3 days . Answer
