Answer:

I walk a distance of
(13)/(10) \ miles.

Explanation:

Given:

Distance I walk at first =
(1)/(5) \ mile

Distance I walk later =
(2)/(3) \ mile

We need to find the total distance i walked.

Now total distance I walked is equal to sum of Distance I walk at first and Distance I walk at later.

framing in equation form we get;

total distance I walked =
(1)/(5)+(2)/(3)

By taking LCM to make the denominator common we get;

total distance I walked =
(1*3)/(5*3)+(2*5)/(3*5)= (3)/(15)+(10)/(15)= (3+10)/(15) =(13)/(10) \ miles

Hence I walk a distance of
(13)/(10) \ miles.
