A light pole casts a shadow of seven feet. Nearby a six foot tall man casts a shadow

of 2.5 feet. Use similar figures to find the height of the light pole. Before starting
draw a picture to make sure you are comparing corresponding lengths. In your
answer, be sure to include your equation and how you solved it. Don't forget units of
measure!

X/7 = 6/2.5
Get X by itself
X= 42/2.5
Then put that in you calculator
X= 16.8

To draw the picture just draw a tall like with about half the shadow then draw a shorter line next to it with about half the shadow and out in your labels
