I suppose you mean to ask what it is? And I also assume you mean descriptive composition​. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But, it's basically describing something or a piece of literature.

Here's an example. Let's say I had to write an essay on a flower. I'd start out by explaining where the flower is and describing the scent and the visual aspects. So let's write something to explain further.

You can start out by stating where it is.

"The brightly colored rose was in my garden next to my front porch."

And then explaining the other stuff. Like, "The flower was a bright red rose. The aroma is very pleasing." Something like that.

And then you'd write a descriptive essay on the topic.

I went a bit overboard , but I hope it explains.
