Answer:

The larger number is 26

The smaller number is 15 .

Explanation:

Given as :

The statement is

The difference between two numbers = 11

Twice the smaller number , minus four equal larger number

Let The larger number = x

Let The smaller number = y

Now, From statements

∵ The difference between two numbers = 11

i.e larger number - smaller number = 11

Or, x - y = 11 ........A

Again

∵ Twice the smaller number , minus four equal larger number

i.e 2 × smaller number - 4 = larger number

Or, 2 × y - 4 = x

Or, 2 y - x = 4 .........B

Now, Solving equation A and B

(2 y - x) + (x - y) = 4 + 11

Or, (2 y - y) + ( - x + x ) = 15

Or, y + 0 = 15

∴ y = 15

So, The smaller number = y = 15

Now, Put the value of y in eq A

∵ x - y = 11

Or, x - 15 = 11

Or, x = 11 + 15

∴ x = 26

So, The larger number = x = 26

Hence, The larger number is 26 and The smaller number is 15 . Answer
