Group decision making is a process in which several individuals analyze problems and proffer solutions to the problems. The number of people in a particular group decision-making varies, often between two to seven individuals.
Decision making groups may be formal or informal in structure but they are always with specific goals
For a good decision making group, the members therein must be accountable. There are various methods of decision making which I am just going to touch two;
One is, BRAINSTORMING. Here, members of the group will have to make suggestions verbally and the facilitator has to record the group members idea.
Second is, DELPHI TECHNIQUE. Here, the members of the group are in different locations and members suggest ideas based on the knowledge of their locations.
CONSENSUS is the point at which group members come to agree on the nature of the problem and the goals of the group.
