Length of the smaller rectangle = 5ft

Area of the smaller rectangle = a = 5ft × 6ft

from the figure :

x + y = 14

x = 14ft - 6 ft = 8 ft

Total area of the figure = A + a


=13 ft* 8 ft+5ft* 6ft=134 ft^2
