Explanation:

y=-2(x-3)^2+4

To interpret the zeros of this function , put y =0

0=-2(x-3)^2+4

0+2(x-3)^2=4

2(x-3)^2=4

(x-3)^2=(4)/(2)

(x-3)^2=2

Taking square root on both sides:

(x-3)=\pm √(2)

So, we got values of x :

1)
x=3+√(2)=1.59

2)
x=3-√(2)=4.41

This means the person will have profit if price of a hot dog ranges from $1.59 to $4.41.
