Answer:

The geography of the region helped to shape the government and culture of the Ancient Greeks. Geographical formations including mountains, seas, and islands formed natural barriers between the Greek city-states and forced the Greeks to settle along the coast.

Ancient Greece was one of the Ancient civilizations that was com pried of city states. Most of this city states had little to no interaction with each other because of geographical features such as mountains in fact because of geographical features such as mountains, most historians only consider them all as Greek due to the fact that they shared a common language. Also the Aegean sea was very important to the Greeks, this was because it was the only way for them to be able to trade with other civilizations, because of this the Greeks became very good fishermen, because of the fact that there was not good or fertile soil on their land, and incredibly good sailors.
