1) Though AIDS can’t be cured, antiretro viral therapy tremendously slows the progression of the disease.

2) There was more stigma around the topic of STIs in the past, meaning there was a perceived lesser urgency to test for them, as well as limited treatments. Patients were often frowned upon by others, though, nowadays, they’re shown more sympathy.

3) Researchers are consistently searching for superior methods of treating HIV/AIDS. Rather than the necessary antiretrovirals, they’re looking into more long-lasting and effective methods of therapy.
