Answer:

(7)/(15) of the circle is shaded.

Explanation:

Circle Consists of 3 parts.

First part is the shaded part.

Now Given:

Portion of Second part =
(1)/(5)

Also Given:

Portion of Third part =
(1)/(3)

We need to find the portion of shaded part.

Solution:

We know that 1 whole circle is divided in 3 parts.

So Portion of shaded part will be equal to 1 circle minus Portion of Second part minus Portion of third part.

framing in equation form we get;

Portion of shaded part =
1-(1)/(5)-(1)/(3)

Now taking LCM for making the denominator common we get;

Portion of shaded part =
(1*15)/(15)-(1*3)/(5*3)-(1*5)/(3*5) = (15)/(15) - (3)/(15)-(5)/(15) = (15-3-5)/(15) = (7)/(15)

Hence We can say that
(7)/(15) of the circle is shaded.
