Give an argument why you consider a battle other than Gettysburg to be the true “turning point” of the civil war.

• battle of Shiloh

• battle of Antietam

• battle of Chattanooga

• Capture of Atlanta

• Battle of Nashville

Answer: Out of all the battles that were fought during the Civil War, Battle of Antietam and Battle of Gettysburg is considered to be the most significant and to a great extent turning point of civil war as these battles resulted in redefining the aims of the war for the North as well as the South.

This battle was the first victory of the union force against the confederation forces and this also helped President Lincoln to issue the emancipation proclamation in the year 1863 by which slaves in rebellious states were set free.

Explanation: i had to do this for an assignment this week and i thought why not put it on the internet for people later on to see, i know its kinda to late for u to use it lol, im sorry
