so Mai had booming sales of $2500, now her commission used to be 5%, but since she rules it went up to 6%, how much is her commission on that?

\begin{array}c \cline{1-1} \textit{a\% of b}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ \left( \cfrac{a}{100} \right)\cdot b \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}~\hspace{5em}\stackrel{\textit{6\% of 2500}}{\left( \cfrac{6}{100} \right)2500}\implies 150

since her salary which used to be $200 but is now 200 + 25 = $225, so for that week she earned 225 + commission or 225 + 150 = 375.
