Answer:

Least possible number of times that Miranda has been to the store is 9 Explanation:

Given:

Amount spent by Miranda each time when she goes to the store= $7

Amount spent by Savannah each time when she goes to the store= $9

To Find:

The least possible number of times that Miranda has been to the store = ?

Solution:

For Miranda and Savannah to have spent the same amount

Number of times Miranda visits the store

After 1 visit she will spend = 7 x 1 = $7

After 2 visit she will spend = 7 x 2 = $14

After 3 visit she will spend = 7 x 3 = $21

After 4 visit she will spend = 7 x 4 = $28

After 5 visit she will spend = 7 x 5 = $735

After 6 visit she will spend = 7 x 6 = $42

After 7 visit she will spend = 7 x 7 = $49

After 8 visit she will spend = 7 x 8 = $56

After 9 visit she will spend = 7 x 9= $63

Number of times Savannah visits the store

After 1 visit she will spend = 9 x 1 = $9

After 2 visit she will spend = 9 x 2 = $18

After 3 visit she will spend = 9 x 3 = $27

After 4 visit she will spend = 9 x 4 = $36

After 5 visit she will spend = 9 x 5 = $45

After 6 visit she will spend = 9 x 6 = $54

After 7 visit she will spend = 9 x 7 = $63

So it takes 9 visits for Miranda and 7 visits for Savannah to spend the same amount.
