Answer:

The company A has the largest percent of increase.

Explanation:

The sales of two companies A and B are given as

S(A) = 260(1.9)^(x) ......... (1) and

S(B) = 275(0.89)^(x) ......... (2)

Now, for x = 0 to x = 1, the sale value of company A will be given by equation (1) as 260 and 260 × 1.9 = 494.

So, the percentage of increase is
[(494 - 260)/(260)] * 100 \% = 90\%

Again, for x = 0 to x = 1, the sale value of company B will be given by equation (2) as 275 and 275 × 0.89 = 244.75.

So, the percentage of decrease is
[ (275 - 244.75)/(275)] * 100 \% =  11\%

Therefore, the company A has the largest percent of increase. (Answer)
