Given that six musicians will play in a recital. Three will perform before intermission, and three will perform after intermission

Since A singing first and B second is different from B first and A second, here order matters. So permutation

But selecting 3 members from 6 for the period before intermission is combination.

Thus 3 players selected in 6C3 ways = 20 ways

Once these 3 players are selected other three are fixed.

Total number of ways of choose which three musicians

will play before intermission = combination = 6C3 *1 = 20 ways
