In British Parliament, the prime minister often visits the legislature to support his plans as well as field questions. Why doesn’t the president of the United States do that?

Washington got upset at the way the Senate handled things and stormed out. Both Washington and the Senate had different views of several matters which resulted in Washington storming out of the Senate during his last visit. By doing so, set a precedent: from this moment on, no president has returned at the Senate. This differenciates the US type of government with the British one. It is also noticeable that, as simmilar the responsabilities of a Prime Minister may be with the ones that a President has, there are also differences.
