Answer:
Ischemic stroke and Hemorrhagic stroke
Step-by-step explanation:
The two major types of stroke are Ischemic stroke and Hemorrhagic stroke. Ischemic stroke happens when fatty acids accumulate and obstruct the blood flow and form clot in a blood vessel that is supplying blood to the brain. It further has two types, Thrombotic strokes and Embolic strokes. TS happens when blood clot is formed in the artery which is supplying blood directly to the brain and ES occurs if the clot is formed anywhere else in the body. However a Hemorrhagic stroke happens when a blood vessel that is fragile ruptures. There are further two types of Hemorrhagic stroke, Intra hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage. IT occurs due to the breakage of weak vessel inside the brain and SH occurs when a fragile vessel ruptures on the surface of brain.
Treatment options for an ischemic stroke is prescribed to be treated within three hours of stroke. Medications such as tissue plasminogen activator are injected through IV so that the clot can be dissolved. It can either be removed physically or through clot bursting medications. The prescriptions are made according to the medical history of each patient. On the other hand hemorrhagic stroke can be treated through surgical procedures such as coiling, clipping and blood transfusion in order to stop the bleeding.
