Given that P(A) = 0.3, P(B) = 0.5 and A and B are
mutallyexclusive find P(A and B).

Answer: P(A and B)=0.

Explanation:

We know that any two events G and H are said to be Mutually exclusive if they cannot occurs simultaneously so that their intersection is zero , i.e. P(G and H)=0

We are given that : P(A) = 0.3, P(B) = 0.5

where , A and B are mutually exclusive.

If events A and B are mutually exclusive , then their intersection should be zero.

i.e. P(A and B)=0

Therefore, the value of P(A and B)=0.
