Answer: x = -1/2 and -1/4

Explanation:

To factorize the equation,

8x²+6x+1

We will split 6x with using common factor of 8(product of the constant (1) and the coefficient x²(8))

The common factor of 8 to use will be 4 and 2

The equation will become

8x²+(2x+4x)+1 = 0

(8x²+2x)+(4x+1) = 0

2x(4x+1)+1(4x+1) = 0

(2x+1)(4x+1) = 0

2x+1= 0... 1

4x+1 = 0... 2

From eqn 1

2x = -1

x = -1/2

From

4x = -1

x = -1/4

x= -1/2 and -1/4
