Glucose a 6 carbon molecule is converted into Peru ate a 3 carbon molecule in the cytoplasm during respiration. In the absence of oxygen like in yeast : ethanol+ carbon dioxide+ energy is produced. In lack of oxygen: lactic acid+ energy. In presence of oxygen in the mitochondria: carbon dioxide + water + energy .
The energy released during cellular respiration is immediately used to synthesize a molecule called ATP to fuel activities in the cell. #answerwithquality #BAL
