A triangle has one side that measures 9 units, another side that measures x, and a third side that measures 2 units more than x. The perimeter is 29 units.

Which equation would we use to find the value of x?

a. x + x + 2 = 29
b. x + x + x + 2 + 9 = 29

Option C

The equation would we use to find the value of x is x + x + 2 + 9 = 29

Solution:

Given that perimeter of triangle is 29 units

Also given that triangle has one side that measures 9 units, another side that measures x, and a third side that measures 2 units more than x

length of one side = 9 units

length of another side = x

length of third side = 2 + x

The perimeter of triangle is given as:

perimeter = a + b + c

Where , "a" , "b" , "c" are the length of third sides of triangle

29 = 9 + x + 2 + x

x + x + 2 + 9 = 29

Thus option C is correct
