Explanation:the liver is an important organ of the body .it's produces bile, removes toxin byproducts from the blood, produces body proteins such as clotting proteins and it helps to remove bacteria from the blood.

When the liver cell dies , it tries to regenerate it. In cirrhosis, there is rapid loss of liver cells and this lead to formation of scar tissue .the liver cells which do not die attempt to generate thereby forming nodules within the scar tissue.

Cirrhosis is caused by excessive intake of alcohol and hepatitis B and C.

It interferes with the normal function of the liver causing the body to exhibit symptoms such as jaundice, fatigue, loss of appetite etc
