The coordinates of the vertices of a rectangle are (-4, 3) (-1,5) (3,-1) and (0,-3)

what is the perimeter of the rectangle? round each step to the nearest 10th

Answer:

21.6 units.

Explanation:

Work out the length of 2 adjacent sides:

length = sqrt ((-4- -1)^2 + (3-5)^2)

= sqrt (9 + 4)

= sqrt (13)

Adjacent side = sqrt ((-1-3)^2 + (5 - -1)^2)

= sqrt (16 + 36)

= sqrt 52.

The perimeter = 2 sqrt13 + 2sqrt52

= 21.63 units.
