The food that we take in contains three principle components and three secondary components. They are digested and converted to usable compounds that are used by body to produce energy and other body building components.
Step-by-step explanation:
The food contains compounds that can be grossly divided into certain categories like carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, vitamin, mineral and water. These components are digested into simplest components in stomach and intestine and absorbed. Then the carbohydrates mostly do undergo respiration to produce carbon dioxide and water in presence of oxygen. The energy that is released is converted into ATP which is adenosine triphosphate and that molecule is broken down into Adenosine diphosphate and phosphoric acid during need of energy.
