The following is a major point of difference between adivasis and other communities:

The factor of willingness and unwillingness of leaving native places:

  • The adivasis are closely associated with their habitat for sustenance. Their survival majorly depends on the produce obtained from the forests that they reside in. Though the earnings that are obtained from the forest produces are generally low and incapable of providing for a good and dignified living, the adivasis prefer not to leave their habitats. On the other hand, the other communities prefer moving to urban areas in search of new and varied opportunities of earning.
