What might lead a researcher to opt for clinical interviewing (a type of self-report) over systematic observation? What strengths and limitations do the clinical/case study method and ethnography have in common? What is the major difference between these two methods? Are there any cultural or contextual factors that can interfere with research methods and/or findings in child and adolescent development? Research can create ethical issues and these issues may be amplified when conducting research with children. Identify and describe at least two examples of children’s basic research rights discussed in your textbook.
