you’d work out the area of the triangles first so you’d half the base and multiply by the height of it. then multiply that by 2 as there are 2 identical triangles. which gives you 63. then you work out the area of the rectangle which is 90. you then do 90+63 to get 153

Here given information:

  • height : 9
  • side 1 : 10
  • side 2 : 7 + 10 + 7 = 24

trapezium area =
\sf (1)/(2) * ( side 1 + side 2 ) * height


\hookrightarrow \sf (1)/(2) * ( 10 + 24) * 9


\hookrightarrow \sf 153 \ units^2
