I'm assuming you are pushing an object horizontally, so we can say that the angle between your hand and the object is zero.

The equation which describes the work done by an object is defined by:


w = fdcos( \alpha )

where w is the work done.

where f is the force in newton.

where d is the displacement.

and a is the angle between the force and the displacement.


w = fdcos(0)


100 = 10d * 1


(10d)/(10) = (100)/(10)


displacement = 10 \: meters
