Planetary model of atom was given by Scientist Ernest Rutherford, according to this model of an atom the protons and neutrons are concentrated at the centre of the atom in a compact structure known as Nucleus that resembles the sun and electrons revolves around the Nucleus just like planets in fixed orbits.

Neutron - subatomic particle with no charge

Electron - subatomic particle with negative (-) charge

Proton - subatomic particle with positive (+) charge
