Given;

Total Trees = 31

Let the number of trees Flame has be 'x'.

Now given:

Sally has 7 fewer trees than Flame.

framing in equation form we get;

Number of trees Sally has =
`x-7`

Also Given:

Frazer has 3 more trees than Sally.

framing on equation form we get;

Number of trees Frazer has =
`x-7+3 = x-4`

Now We know that Captain salamander total trees in 3 friends.

Hence we can say that;

Total Number of trees is equal to sum of number of trees Flame has and Number of trees Sally has and Number of trees Frazer has.

framing in equation form we get;
