Answer:

Explanation:

10%of 28=2.8

40%=2.8 ×4=11.2

5%(half of 10%)=1.4

then you add 40%and 5% which is 11.2+1.4=12.6

(on a calculator you can work percentage by doing 45 percentage button×the amount)

then you add 28 ounces(original)+(increase) which is 12.6=

40.6

Addie will use 40.6 ounces of chocolate for her recipe

Answer:

Explanation:

a full recipe calls for 3 1/2 cups of flour.....so if she wanted to make half of the recipe, she would need half of the flour in a full recipe.....so she would need half of 3 1/2.

turn ur mixed number into an improper fraction...3 1/2 = 7/2

(7/2) / 2 .....when dividing with fractions, flip what u are dividing by, then multiply

(7/2) / 2 = 7/2 * 1/2 = 7/4 = 1 3/4 cups of flour are needed for half a recipe
