Lines and are parallel. The slope of line is 1/3. What is the slope of line ?

Answer: 1/3

When two lines are parallel, they share the same slope. If the first line has a slope of 1/3, the second line will share the same slope of 1/3.

If this was perpendicular, however, the slope would be flipped over, and would be -3/1 or -3.
