A student wanted to simulate and investigate how impact craters on the moon's surface can yield information about the objects that created them millions of years ago. To carry out the investigation, the student filled a pan with a mix of flour and cocoa powder and dropped two different balls with a diameter of 1 centimeter. One ball was made of Styrofoam and had a mass of 1 gram. The other ball was mlade of steel and had a mass of 30 grams. Both balls were dropped from a height of 0/5 meters.
