Option A

Volume of bed is
2(2)/(3) cubic inches

Solution:

Given are the dimensions of bed

To find: volume of bed

Since bed is generally of cuboid shape, we can use the volume of cuboid formula

volume of cuboid is given as:

\text{ volume of cuboid } = l * w * h

Where, "l" is the length and "w" is the width and "h" is the height of cuboid

From attached figure in question

l = 2(2)/(3) inches = (3 * 2 + 2)/(3) = (8)/(3) inches

w = 3 inches

h = (1)/(3) inches

Substituting the values in formula,

v = (8)/(3) * 3 * (1)/(3)\\\\v = (8)/(3) = 2(2)/(3)

Therefore volume of bed is
2(2)/(3) cubic inches
