Was the work of an ambitious Danish Prince out to avenge his father's murder by a British noblemen. 3. Ended Parliamentary rule in Great Britain until Queen Anne's War in 1702. 4. Had no impact on the British colonies in America.

Explanation: James was a Catholic, and the intention to overthrow him was to stop his religious succession, as the official religion was protestantism. He was replaced by his Daughter (Queen MAry II) and her Husband - and cousin- William III of orange.
