Its different because once oxygen rich air is inhaled into your lungs, the oxygen molecules are pumped into your blood which circulate into the capilaries around your body providing nutrients to your muscles, and absorbing waste gas (carbon dioxide). The waste in your blood is transported to your lungs and then exhaled.
