Answer:

The area of the larger square is 20
cm^2

Explanation:

Given:

The area of the smaller square =
10 cm^2

To Find:

The are of the larger square = ?

Solution:

The diagonal of the smaller square = diameter of the circle = sides of the larger square

The diagonal of the smaller square is

=>
√(2(10))

=>
√(20)

=>
√(2* 2 * 5)

=>
2√(5)

Now this diagonal is equal to the side of the larger square

so the are of the larger square is

=>
(2√(5))^2

=>
(2√(5)) * (2√(5))

=> 20
cm^2
