Answer:

Speed of Vendelin is 60 kilometre per hour.

Explanation:

Given:

The Distance two bus stops =
(3)/(8)

Speed of the bus = 60 km/h

To Find:

The Speed of vendelin = ?

Solution:

Let the speed bof vendelin be x. the it is stated that

" If Vendelin runs from home, he will be at the bus stop at the same time as bus."

So

Time Taken by the bus

=>
\frac{ \text{ distance between the bus stop}}{\text{ speed of the bus}}

=>
((3)/(8))/(60)

=>
((3)/(8))/((1)/(60))

=>
(3)/(480)------------------------------(1)

Time Taken by Vendelin

=>
\frac{ \text{ distance between the bus stop}}{\text{ speed of Vendelin }}

=>
((3)/(8))/(x)

=>
(3)/(8x)----------------------------------(2)

Equating (1) and (2) we get

(3)/(480) =
(3)/(8x)

3 * 8x = 3 * 480

3 * 8x = 1440

8x =(1440)/(3)

8x = 480

x =(480)/(8)

x = 60
