Answer:

The costs would be equal when the months are 34 and 26 respectively.

Explanation:

The Strauss family is deciding between two lawn care services Green Lawn start charges a $49 startup fee plus $29 per month grass team charges a $25 startup fee plus that $37 per month.

We have to find at which month the costs would become equal.

The price after
x_(1) and x_(2) months for the two companies are

Green Lawn start = 49 + 29
x_(1)

Grass team = 25 + 37
x_(2)

When the costs are equal,

49 + 29
x_(1) = 25 + 37
x_(2)

29x_(1)-37x_(2) = 24

This equation is satisfied when
x_(1)= 34 and x_(2)= 26

Hence the costs would be equal when the months are 34 and 26 respectively.
