Hey there!

18x + 6x

= 6(3x + 1x)

= 6(3x) + 6(1x)

= 18x + 6x

COMBINE the LIKE TERMS

= (18x + 6x)

= 24x

ANSWER:

So, basically he/she didn’t combine the like terms. The original equation should’ve been: 6(3x + 1x) or 6x(3 +1)

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

Answer:

6x(3 +1)

Explanation:

The factoring applies to both terms.

18x +6x

= 6x(3) +6x(1)

= 6x(3 +1)
