Answer:

y = 1/4x + 3

Explanation:

m= slope

1) Find the slope

y1-y2 divided by x1-x2

2-6 divided by -4 - 12 = -4/-16= 1/4

The slope of the line is 1/4

m= 1/4

2) Plug it in to find b. (12,6) is easier

6= 1/4(12)+b

6= 3 +b

b= 3

3) Check

2= 1/4 (-4) + 3

2= -1 +3

4) The answer is y = 1/4x + 3
