That turns into this: 2x - 3 < x + 2 and x + 2 ≤ 3x + 5

2x - 3 < x + 2

subtract x from both sides

x - 3 < 2

add 3

x < 5

x + 2 ≤ 3x + 5

Subtract 3x from both sides

-2x + 2 ≤ 5

subtract 2 from both sides

-2x ≤ 3

divide both sides by -2

x ≥ -3/2

From this we can see that this equation is -3/2 ≤ x < 5
