So patriotism is also considered a good thing because there is zero reason to believe that feeling connected and included with your country’s culture/heritage should be accepted. Waving a flag doesn’t cause harm to people, so continue waving that flag if you want to. There shouldn’t be restrictions to expressing love and respect towards your own country as long as it doesn’t end in the wrong way!
