The sides of the smaller window is 20 inches long.
An equation that represents this situation is shown below, where s is the length of the smaller window
1,025 = (5 + s)^2 + s^2
if s = 20 m, then:
(5 + 20)^2 + 20^2
= 625 + 400
= 1,025
