Sweets man has to give is x
Man's sweets = 25 - x
The boy's sweets = 55 + x
This number is 4 times

55 + x = 4(25 - x)
55 + x = 100 - 4x
55 - 100 = -4x - x
-45 = - 5x
45 ÷ 5 = x
6.67 = x
6.67 ≈ 7
the man gives 7 sweets to the son so the son would have 4 times as much as the father
