If F is the function defined by F(x)=3x−1 find the solution set for F(x)=−7

F(x)=3x-1
-7=3x-1
-6=3x
-6/3=x
X=-2

f(x) = -7 \\\\\implies 3x -1 = -7\\\\\implies 3x = -7 +1 \\\\\implies 3x = -6\\\\\implies x = - \frac 63 =-2
