first you have to choose one of the equations and isolate one of the variables

3x - 6y = 2

-6y = 2 - 3x

y = 2/-6 + 1/2

then you have to substitute it in the other equation

4x-6(2/-6 + 1/2) = 2

4x + 2 - 3 = 2

4x - 1 = 2

4x = 3

x = 3/4

after that you solve for y

3 (3/4) - 6y = 2

9/4 - 6y = 2

-6y= - 1/4

y= 24

THIS MAY NOT BE RIGHT BTW
