Given :-

  • A Equation ,
    \sf y = 3(1/2)^x

To find :-

  • The value of y at x = -2.

Solution :-

The given equation is ,

\red{\longrightarrow}\sf y = 3(1/2)^x

Now on substituting x = -2 , we have,

\red{\longrightarrow} y = 3(1/2)^(-2)

Using the property of exponents as ,

\red{\longrightarrow} \sf a^(-m)= 1/a^m

We have ,

\red{\longrightarrow}\sf y = 3(2)^2

\red{\longrightarrow}\sf y = 3(4)

\red{\longrightarrow}\bf y = 12

Hence the required answer is 12.
